murray- thanx for taking the time to reassure me, you were the only knowledgable person i could ask. i really appreciate it. you would be suprised at some of the horseshit people tell you, when they have no idea what theyre talking about. we bought some books and they basically said the same thing, but its nice to hear it from somone who lives there. my only problem may be getting back on the plane to come back to this hellhole. thanx again- drew

Subject: Back in Texas - Thanks for the STAY!

Hey Murray,

Well, we made it back to Texas safe and sound. Just wanted to write ya an email and thank you for the House Rental. It's a marvelous house, in a perfect location. Even with the rocks at the beach it was our favorite place to surf. Can't beat that distance to the waves! I really hope nothing from the house was ruined. We tried to do our best to respect your house, keep it clean, and not be too noisy. If the towels are ruined, let me know, and lets see if there is something we can work out. Id hate to feel unwelcome to such a beautiful place. We have used towels in a similar fassion many times without damage.

Our trip was fabulous we enjoyed the Canopy Tours, The Montezuma Waterfalls (you should check it out; the hike isnt bad, and its very peaceful), Snorkeling around Tortuga Island, Watching Manta Rays fly 3 ft out of the water, and surfing just about every day.

I'd have say I really am sad that i had to leave, I feel like a part of my day is missing not being able to enjoy the surroundings and beautifuls sunsets by the beach.

Here are a few attached also.

Sincerely

Aaron Kimmell
(many thanks from, Colin, Jennifer, Justin, and Jeff also)

Hello Murray,

We are back to reality! Our vacation was most enjoyable. We greatly appreciate all the arrangements you helped us with and the reservations. We felt safe with Mario driving us. He was punctual and professional. Hopefully, we will visit your Mal Pais again! I trust you found the Los Palmas house keys and the book Karen left for Marian.

Thank you again for everything!!

Hi Murray,

Well, we all had a WONDERFUL time at Casa Cecelia. Very relaxing place and Pia was a most gracious hostess. Sorry we didn't get in touch with you to meet you, but the time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to go home. Thanks again for all of your assistance in helping us with our Holiday.

Hi Gale-

Murray in Mal Pais gave me your email. We returned, just over a week ago, from Mal Pais/Santa Teresa and a wonderful stay in the Casa del Mar. We stayed there with our teenage children. We wanted to let you know just how much we loved the house! We had a fantastic stay, couldn't have been better. The house was exactly what we were looking for-comfortable, pretty, incredible beach location, wonderful community. Murray was very helpful in making the arrangements, and in helping us select your house.

We hope to return at some point, and will also be suggesting to friends that they visit!

Dear Murray,

Thanks for your help with our trip to Costa Rica. We loved the Teak house, the location, the beach, the coconuts, the monkeys, everything. I'm lad we took your advice and went for the more remote location, it was perfect. The car and hotel in San jose worked out very well also. Pura Vida!

Thanks, Georgie STanley and Brian Charette

Murray... we have been back home now for a week, and we are still so sad we had to leave! We had an absolutely fabulous time, and staying at La Hacienda was such a great start to our week...Thank you so very much! Mal Pais is a spectacular place, as well as all of Costa Rica we were able to see...we will definitely be returning very soon, and have already recommended La Hacienda to some friends. Our daughter, Courtney really hit it off great with the young woman who works for you, Gaudi (please forgive the spelling of her name). Courtney would very much like to mail a package to her...could you please email us back with the correct spelling of her name as well as the mailing address for La Hacienda, or what ever her address might be. We are pretty sure she lives just behind the property, as we saw her enter into a small detached building in the back. She was such a great hostess, despite the language barrier, and tried so hard to make sure we were happy every minute we were there. You are fortunate to have her working for you, she was a real sweet heart.

Thanking you in advance for the information, and again, thank you for such a great stay.

Paige Crunk

Hello Murray

Just returned from Costa Rica yesterday. We had a good time and want to thank you again for your recommendation for La Hacienda. It was a beautiful and hospitable B&B, and we were delighted with the accommodations.

Thanks and best regards,

Jeanne

Subject: Still cold in Canada!

Hi Murray

We all made it safely back to Canada just in time for another of 8 inch dumping of snow! Just wanted to say thanks for a great time. I speak for all of us that the house was incredible, the beach amazing, and the wildlife in the yard was very foreign to Canadians, in a very good way. As I sit writting, I miss the warm breeze and ocean noises, which have been replaced by cold blowing winds and snow. Oh well I guess it just gives more reason to return to Mal Pais all the sooner.

Thanks again, and I hope to be back again in the near future, possibly same time next year.

Josh Martyn

Dear Murray and Marian,

Sarah and I and the girls are now safely back home in Flagstaff. We had a wonderful visit to Costa Rica, including our week in Mal Pais. Thank you for all your help in making the trip a success. The Las Palmas house suited us well, and our boat trip with Emiliano (sp?) was terrific. Our older daughter Jasmine caught a 12 lb Red Snapper with his help, and we enjoyed eating it for two days.

We stayed at Hotel Brilla Sol both upon our arrival and just before our departure. Flor and Luis were kind and helpful. Thank you for directing us toward them.

Finally, we enjoyed our brief visit with you both at your home. We wish you contentment and good health.

Regards,

Kurt Mueller

Murray,

Thank you so much for helping us to have such a wonderful vacation in Malpais. Our only complaint is that we had to come back home! The pictures we took will always remind us of how beautiful a place it is and we hope to return one day.

Just out of curiosity, what is the weather like there in June? Are the roads impassible, or does rain less on the penisula.

Have a healthy and happy new year! Regards,

Janet and David

Hi Murray,

Just wanted to send you a note telling you how much we enjoyed ourselves at your place in paradise. We certainly relaxed and looking over our journal did a lot and saw a lot as well. Costa Rica is a very beautiful country and we would love to come back and explore it some more one day. Thanks so much for your great hospitality, we really appreciated it. Say hi to the howlers for us... what an experience they were! We loved the house... it was perfect for us. The view was something you might see in a travel magazine.

Anyways take care and again many thanks.

Hello Murray,

Just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Los Arboles was great as well as the food at Mary's. It was also very nice of you to setup our accomidations in San Jose. I can't tell you how reassuring it is to have someone waiting for you at the airport after a hard days traveling. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Sincerely,

Sean & Marisa Garland
